Ever since the first fiber optic cable was used for communication in 1976, fiber optics has been developing at a very fast pace.

With the rapid development of the Internet, new broadband applications are emerging, and broadband services represented by HD video, online games, and online education are entering people’s daily lives. The demand for bandwidth is driving the universal rollout of fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) worldwide.

The typical technology used for FTTH is passive optical network (PON), a point-to-multipoint fiber access technology that consists of an optical line terminal (OLT) on the bureau side, an optical network terminal (ONU) on the user side, and an optical distribution network (ODN) connecting the OLT and ONT. “Passive” means that the ODN does not contain any active electronics or electronic power.

The ODN is deployed in a complex and diverse external environment and is a key factor in the deployment and maintenance of the entire fiber-to-the-home solution. Teyi Technology provides a full set of ODN products (optical cable, passive components and equipment) with TIS engineering concept to make network construction and maintenance more efficient.

We also provide optical transceiver modules, the core component for OLT and ONT.
